Jazmín is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Córdoba, Argentina, but currently based in New York City. She developed her passion for the creative arts at a very young age and has been training in music, acting, and dance since the age of six. She attended a trilingual school in Córdoba, where she completed her primary and secondary education. Soon after turning eighteen, in the fall of 2021, she embarked alone; packing her whole life in a suitcase and a carry-on to pursue higher education at Sarah Lawrence College in New York, where she studied Film, World Literature, Theatre and Costume Design. Nicolaus Mills, Liz Prince, Christine Farrell, Eduardo Lago, and Misael Sanchez are some of the professors she had the honor of working closely with and receiving counseling from, both for her professional and personal future.
During her fall semester of Junior year, Jazmín studied acting abroad at the British American Drama Academy, a conservatory school in London, United Kingdom. At BADA, she trained under industry professionals Anna Healey, Geraldine Alexander, William Donaldson, Mick Barnfather, Philip d'Orléans, Sarah Crompton, and Nigel Gearing, taking classes in Shakespeare, High Comedy, Movement, Voice, Stage Combat, Theatre History, and others. For her final grade, Jazmín played the character of Feniso (gender bent to Fenisa) in an adaptation of Spanish author Lope de Vega's 'La Dama Boba', called Mad For Love and directed by Paula Rodriguez. This performance provided the space for her to showcase her skills in music as well as acting, since she was asked to adapt and perform a poem into a song from scratch for the play.
For her spring semester, Jazmín travelled to Central Europe to mark the beginning of her career in filmmaking, following the Narrative Filmmaking track at Prague Film School in Prague, Czechia. Under the mentorship of award nominated industry professionals Michael Brierley, Kaveh Daneshmand, Diego Fandos, Luka Knezevic, Robert Gottman, and others, her skills were built from the ground up, obtaining a hands-on education on every aspect of film production. When she came in, Jazmín had only ever worked as an actor and production assistant in student films. By the end of the program, she had written, produced, and directed four short films of her own, worked as a director of photography on her classmates projects as well as hers, acted in several short films, and gained extensive experience working as a camera assistant for over ten different productions.
Upon her return to the United States, Jazmín has stayed active in both film and theatre. Some of her most recent credits include her performance as Conrad in a production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing (directed by Vivian Marko), her work as a camera assistant and focus puller in short films like Why Won't You Say It Back? (directed by Zach Greenberger), Lawless State (Directed by Ralph Calle Schulz), 3.A.M. (directed by Jackson Rheingold), and Fish Tank (co-directed by Tristan Cohen and Douglas James Farr), two of her photos published on PhotoVogue's website (Rose Carousel & Rainbow Dock), and her most recent writing project: Lola (a short story).
On May 9th of 2025, Jazmín graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sarah Lawrence College, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree. At the moment, she is working as an independent photographer, filmmaker, performer, writer, and costume designer in New York City. Her most upcoming personal project is a short film written and soon to be directed by her: 'Para Mamá'. The film navigates the story of Maia, a 19 year old teenager, as she figures out who she wants to become once her life starts to fall apart due to her mom's disruptive alcoholism. It is mostly cast and currently being presented for grants. This short film will be potentially used as proof of concept for a feature film version to be pre produced within the next five years.
